10 Days Old!

Lilly is now 10 days old! She's the most precious amazing thing I've ever seen. This morning she lost her cord stump. Friends had told me that it would be supper-gross, but I don't find anything about Lilly to be gross. I love everything about her!
Lilly sleeps for most of the day, but has a difficult time sleeping at night. She eats for 45 minutes to an hour, sleeps for 30 minutes, then insists on eating again. This goes on between 8pm and 3am each night! During the day, she eats every three hours. We can't figure out why this is happening. We were so exausted last night that I almost gave in and gave her a pacifier. I can't tell if she's really hungry or just wants to nurse for the comfort of it. Either way, 30 minutes (if that) of sleep every other hour isn't good for mommy's sanity! Thankgoodness, Hubby is really helping by taking her when she's fussy at night so I can sleep between feedings.
I'm going to call the lactation support department at the hospital and see what they say.
I took this picture when she was about 5 days old. Isn't it amazing that she fit inside there?

Lilly so so cute!
Logan is doing the same thing with his eating habits. During the day he's eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. At night, he insists on screaming from about 10 pm to 3 am. I feel like I turn into a crazy person without any patience at that time. I hope you're able to find a resolution & get some more rest! -

Oh, Lilly is so adorable!! (And no I cannot believe she fit in there either!)
Good luck with the night owl baby. Hopefully she will get past that soon!
