Welcome to my life. As a newish stay-at-home mom, I'm trying to figure out what my life is about. I know I'm a wife and mother, but who am I? This blog is my forum to find out and my therapy...

Were Chairs Always This Uncomfortable?

This evening we went to dinner at a friend's house for our annual Rosh Hashanah dinner. The hostess puts on the most incredible dinner party that anyone could imagine.

I never noticed the chairs being uncomfortable before, but tonight, I almost couldn't stay seated - especially not for a 4-hour meal. My butt never felt so boney and of course Baby was kicking straight down for half the night. My mom is here visiting and when I complained, she wanted to feel the baby kick. I told her she could feel it another time because baby was kicking too low.

It's rather strange that I've only felt baby kick up by my belly button once. Most of the time she kicks so low that I won’t let anyone feel it (except my hubby). Is it normal for her to be kicking so far down? For a while, I thought she was just sitting really low and hadn't grown as far as by belly button, but the other day she flipped her self upside down and really kicked up a storm near my belly button. So, I know she can do it. The question is why is she normally kicking so far down?

Tomorrow is our 20-week sonogram. I can’t wait to see her little face again and see how much she has changed!
