Human Caviar, Anyone?
Monday, December 11, 2006
There's some weird art out there. For example, there's an artist who made "human caviar" of her own eggs after turning 39 and pondering her biological clock. I was grossed out until I read that it was as art display rather than a food item. Still, it seems like a strange thing to do. Almost a misuse of potential life but not really. Those eggs would just die with her menstrual cycle anyway. I wonder if she went to a fertility clinic to harvest them? What doctor would agree to put a woman through fertility treatment the sake of an art project? I hear those treatments are quite painful, both emotionally and physically.
