Kashering
Thursday, December 07, 2006
I spent nearly five hours kashering the kitchen yesterday. The painter, who was painting over the previous owner's ivy border, must have thought I was nuts. He has probably never seen anyone dip all their kitchenware in boiling water then pour it all over the counter tops. But now everything has been kashered and put away. I just need to organize the refrigrator and the kitchen will be finished.
We're moving tomorrow and still need to pack Hubby's office, the garage, and the attic. Oh, and we have to drain our fabulous water bed as well. We'll be sleeping on the floor tonight.
Hubby is taking the cleaning lady over to the new house so she can give us an estimate on what she'll now be charging. I hope it's reasonable because she is awesome! She does laundry and everything.

Good Luck with the move - hope you all settle in well!! Glad the kashering went well - who cares what the painter thought - it was educational for him ;o)
