Office Obsessions

I have my very own office in our new house! Unlike the old house, it's not located in a "community" area where everyone piles their stuff or stops to use my computer because it's there (I'm including visitors here). My office used to be in the "formal sitting area" which housed the furniture we didn't like, my mom's piano, and my desk (complements of Hubby). Not anymore! Now my office is the last bedroom in the upstairs hallway. Which means it's all mine! It's going to have a nice wrap-around desk, lots of storage, a couch to lounge on, and get this - a 50 inch flat TV! Well, in all honesty, I get this amazing TV by chance. It used to be our main TV, but our new house came with two 60 inch HD TVs. So, I am making the sacrifice of putting the "old" TV in my office. Am I a good human being or what?
Oh, and my office has a terrific view of the golf course and lake. Did I mention that my office is only 12 feet by 12 feet? Yeah, I'm cramming it all in. I downloaded this semi-cool software from IKEA that allows me to plan my office using their "work space" inventory. So, I know for sure everything will fit.
Here's where my weirdness comes into play. I designed 17 office scenario's. The one I liked best cost over two grand and that's without the sofa! Hubby was less than thrilled. You see, he's the kind of guy who can totally work in chaos and something old and cheap is just as good as something nice and expensive. Of course, that works in my favor. It means he has no preference and I get what I deem as the better chair and since we only have office furniture for one office, I get the new stuff!
Before you start feeling sorry for him, just remember that he has the office with the wall of windows and balcony that overlooks the golf course, lake, and our pool. It's also got a bar complete with refrigerator and ice maker. He's not suffering.
Back to IKEA... I altered my office plan to cut the price. Here's how it came out (it doesn't show the TV or the couch):

We bought the desk and assembled it last night. It looks awesome. Unfortunately, until we get the storage units, I can't unpack all my office boxes. But at least I was able to set up my desktop. My office is located next to Lilly's room. Naturally, I have have great visions of Lilly playing while I putter around on my computer. I'm sure it won't quite happen that way, but it's still nice to be close enough to drag toys back and forth.
