20 Week Ultrasound

Flashback: 4 Weeks Ago
We had a 50% chance of passing kidney and hearing problem called BOR Syndrome to the baby I also have a strong family history of babies dieing of heart problems. So, we were really worried about what the doctor would find at the 16 week level II sonogram. To our absolute amazement and delight, we found a perfectly healthy and beautiful baby girl growing just perfectly. We both breathed a sigh of relief and started letting ourselves get excited about the baby.
Fast Foward: This MorningWe had our 20 week ultrasound this morning. It was a regular sonogram at the OB's office and we were looking forward to another peak at baby. My mom is in town visiting and we decided to bring her along. Okay, she begged, but what first-time grandma wouldn't?
The sonographer confirmed that the baby is a girl and took the obligatory "Hi Mom and Dad" snapshots before moving on to measurements. Everything looked good except that the baby's kidney's are enlarged, which is not normal. Even so, the baby doesn't seem to be affected. There is plenty of amniotic fluid, so there's nothing serious to worry about. However, the OB is sending us to the Perinatologist for another level II sono in two weeks. My hubby is very worried that enlarged kidney's may be an indicator of BOR Syndrome and that the baby probably has a hearing loss. Both the OB and geneticist said that you really couldn't draw that conclusion at this point.

Hi,
My name is Darcy and I just had a sonogram during my 12th week to look for Down Syndrom and the like. Everything turned out perfect. But I was conserned about the arching of the back, she kept moving around like that. Where you told it is normal?
Thank you
