Welcome to my life. As a newish stay-at-home mom, I'm trying to figure out what my life is about. I know I'm a wife and mother, but who am I? This blog is my forum to find out and my therapy...

Can It Be True?

Can It Be True? Have I finally recovered from my poultry aversion? This whole pregnancy, I haven't been able to eat or smell chicken or turkey (or anything made with chicken broth). In fact, I've practically been a vegetarian. The only meat I could eat was an occasional trout and sometimes I could choke down some beef. But chicken? I would get sick just from the smell.

Poor hubby. He's practically been a vegetarian too because I hardly ever have meat in the house. So, he gets chicken whenever we go out and I have been eating from the kids menu because they serve mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and other simple meals.

I'm starting to get a serious appetite. For the first time ever, I can out eat Hubby!

Anyway, last night I picked up some sandwiches at Whole Foods and just had the urge to get a turkey sandwich. I figured I could always take the turkey off if it didn't agree with me. I ate the first half, which didn't make me sick, but didn't taste remotely good. Then, for dinner, I had the second half which wasn't half bad, but I couldn't finish it.

So, maybe I'll be up to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not nearly ready to put anything containing chicken in my mouth yet, but things are improving because I no longer get sick when Hubby brings take-out chicken home.
