We are the proud new owners of a used stroller frame for a grand total of 10 bucks! It fits our $10 Graco infant car seat perfectly. It doesn't match, but who really cares. We got a light-weight stroller system for $20 bucks. Needless to say, Hubby is very proud and said I've earned the awesome glider that I've been drooling over! Hmm... Am I a bad mother for getting used baby gear so that I can have a nice new glider (rocking chair)?
The woman who sold us the stroller frame lives in a VERY nice part of town. She had a whole room full of baby stuff that she was selling. So, I picked through her box of baby girl clothes, knowing it would be top-of-the-line, and found some of the most adorable outfits for 1 dollar per set. So I bought 14 sets (because that's all the cash I had). Here are the cutest:

Holy Crap, that's awesome!! And no you're not a bad mother. I'm putting off buying the baby gear (probably shouldn't) because my daddy being a preacher, and having a very large church that's throwing me a shower... I figured I'll just see what we get. (Although I'm afraid it'll be 100 of all the things we don't need... so I may need your expertise later on when searching for used things!!!) Keep up the bargain hunting!! :) BTW, great belly shots... reminds me I need to take more...

You are definately not a bad mother for buying used baby gear and a new glider. The baby gear is only going to be useful for as long as you have a baby, but the glider should last well past your baby outgrowing baby things...
Nice blog by the way... - At 9:17 AM, Isabel said...

I think you are a good mother because you are trying to save money on baby gear. Money that you guys will be able to use for other things in life!!
I love the little denim dress and hat. And the fact that is was only $1 make it even cuter. Way to go! - At 9:17 AM, Isabel said...
