So Pretty...

Lilly has been especially sweet lately. Tonight, just before bed, she pointed to my head and said, "So pretty". I asked if she was referring to my purple highlights, but she said, "No, this. So pretty" and then she pointed to my hearing aids.
I've always been self-conscious about wearing my hair up because people can see my hearing aids (and if they don't know me, they automatically start signing to me or speaking as if I'm deaf). Somehow I find it insulting.
My sweet little girl thinks my hearing aids, which I've always tried to hide, are "so pretty".
I almost cried.

Wow Lilly is so wise - I'm sure someone as beautifu as she is has no problems seeing the beauty in others - how wonderful, no wonder you almost cried!
I take notes for a couple of hearing impaired people at my local university - and if I hadn't been told one of them had a hearing impariment I'd have never known. I don't sit next to her in lectures at her request and I suppose if it were me I'd rather not draw attention to the fact I needed a note-taker in case people acted weird around me. -

You are definitely an inspiration to me! My hubby and I would like to have children but 1. I can't stay in remission and 2. I'm very scared! I hope all works out for you during your quest to have another baby!
