I'm an interesting sort of person. In some ways I'm you're average suburban wife and stay-at-home mom. In other ways I'm not at all average. I love new projects. I always have something new going on. The excitement and research is most of the fun and I normally abandon my projects after I've burned myself out by obsessively researching it.
As you can probably guess, I'm addicted to Google and my laptop is an appendage. Hubby works from home, so between the two of us, well, let's just say we need to find a way to burry the cables in the couch because there are always two laptops on the sofa. And with good reason - there's nothing decent on Television these days - with the exception of Desperate Housewives.
I’m also a bit of an entrepreneur. I love starting businesses. I just don’t like running them once they are profitable. And I HATE customer service. Hubby and I are great critiques. We love to critique what other businesses are doing and talk about how they should be doing things.
Moving on... Hubby and I have one adorable and perfect baby girl and a cat. My mother lives with us, which as far as we're all concerned, is FABLOUS. We all get along wonderfully.
I have Ulcerative Colitis, which I only found out about after the birth of the baby. Apparently the pregnancy was VERY rough on my body. It took seven months to get it under control with steroids and chemotherapy (thank goodness my mom and hubby were around to help with the baby, huh). So, now that I’m feeling well again, I'm trying to get my body in really good physical condition. I guess I'm lucky that I'm not dealing with post pregnancy weight problems. My problem is quite the opposite. I lost too much weight because of the Ulcerative Colitis. So, now I'm focusing on gaining the weight back and conditioning my body. The only problem is that I LOVE junk food and hate exercise. And of course now I weigh very little and have little energy.
However, I'm going to become a freak. This is going to become one of my projects. In fact, I think I'll take periodic pictures and track my progress. I'm sure you won't be able to see anything at first, but in a year or two I can make a nice animation of my progress. Never mind that the last time I did this fitness fiasco, I found out 1 week later that I was pregnant. Yep - I took my "before" pictures and thought, "Gee, since when does my tummy pooch out like that. I need to get to the gym and start this program." Little did I know... Anyway, that's not the case this time around. I'm happy to have my body back (as in not sharing it with a baby) and to have my health back. It's a huge motivation to strengthen my body and be as healthy as possible.
