There's A Balloon In My Belly
Wednesday, October 05, 2005
We've been going over to my old house about once a week to pack stuff up and get it ready to put on the market. I cannot believe it's taking so long. At first, I couldn't do much because of the morning sickness, but now it's becoming increasingly more difficult to do things. Even simple things, like getting things off high shelves, reaching into low cupboards, and filling boxes are difficult. It feels like there is a balloon in my belly. The longer I work, the more it inflates and slower I move.I hate to say that after 5 trips, we still aren’t done. We just need to go back for a few odds and ends and clean up. Why did I ever buy a house? I met my husband less than a year after I bought it and now I’ve owned it for less than three years. I will defiantly be taking a loss.
I thought about renting, but with a new baby arriving in February, the last thing I need is stupid renters calling me to fix a backed-up toilet or garbage disposal. I’m trying to simplify my life. I have some online stores that I will have to continue to manage after the baby arrives. I’m not sure how that is going to work. Maybe I’ll declare everything out of stock for a few weeks. I just can’t imagine going through what Amalah is going through and having to manage two businesses at the same time.
