Welcome to my life. As a newish stay-at-home mom, I'm trying to figure out what my life is about. I know I'm a wife and mother, but who am I? This blog is my forum to find out and my therapy...

Craig's List

Yesterday I found someone, on Craigs List, who was selling all her baby stuff, after storing it for 4 years. I figured we could knock off a lot of stuff from our list. After all, I have friends with babies who are around 3 years old and their stuff is just as cool as what is in the store these days. So, we arranged a time to meet and Hubby and I drove down to her house.

Let me just say that I would never have gotten out of the car if Hubby hadn't been with me. It was a SCARRY neighborhood. As it turns out, the woman was very nice. She was a single mom and her baby gear was ummm... How should I put this? Not what I really wanted? I feel bad for saying that, but it had to be at least 10 years old and had obviously been through several hands. But we felt bad that she was obviously struggling, so we paid her 50 bucks for the swing-highchair, bouncer, and an infant toy.

The are rather old and not the best quality, but I'm going to check the recalls and clean them up. Seriously, you only use a bouncer, swing, and this infant floor toy for a few months, so it doesn't really matter that they don't have the latest features and style, right? As long as they haven't been recalled and are clean, what's the real difference?

Here's what we got:

I don't have a picture of the swing/highchiar because we had to disasenble it last night to figure out why it was leaking liquid rust! I'll post the picture when Hubby puts it back together.

I agree...as long as they are clean and in proper working order they will be great.

I can't wait to see pictures of all your baby gear.
