Vintage Crap

So, while I'm on the sewing kick I may as well sew something real.

I have a thing for aprons. I don't own many, but somehow I love vintage aprons. Maybe because my mom always had special aprons for me while I was a child.
When we bought our new house, my first thought was that I needed a special apron for my new fantastic kitchen. I never got one so now, that I'm going to set up the sewing machine to make Lilly some sock monsters, I may as well make an apron or two.
There are lots of vintage patterns on ebay or maybe I'll just make my own pattern. That'll save me the frustration of cutting out the pattern, which is the only part of sewing that I don't like.
And while, I'm making aprons, I may as well make some vintage toddler dress/aprons for Lilly. Aren't these adorable? They are matching mommy-daughter aprons. I can't see myself wearing this, but maybe I'll make something like this for Lilly.

My Grandma makes awesome wintage looking aprons and gives them as gifts. Last night I was wearing my favorite one from her while making dinner. My baby kept smiling at it and trying to reach out for it. He loved the colors and the buttons. It was so cute.
Anyway...just wanted to share.
