Earth Day

I watched part of Oprah at the gym today. It was about Earth Day and what you can do to make the planet a little greener. They featured a website called greendimes.com. For about 10 cents a day, they will stop 70% of your junk mail and plant a tree in your name each month. So, I checked it out and discovered that I can stop junk mail on my own. I just spent the last 30 or so minutes opting out of all sorts of direct marketing crap.I think I'm also going to buy some ecobags. They are kind of cool and I hate that I throw away all those plastic bags (both produce and grocery), which just fill landfills. Yep - this will be my contribution to the earth this year.
