Earth Day
Sunday, April 22, 2007
I've never really been into Earth Day until this year. Why is this year different? Who knows. Maybe because I need a new project.
Lilly and I went to Whole Foods to buy alternative cleaning solutions and fabric softener. Hopefully they don't give us a rash or anything.
I also stopped by Home Depot to get energy efficient light bulbs and microfiber towels to cut down on the number of paper towels we use every day.
I ordered reusable grocery bags from ecobags.com and even turned our trash compactor, which we never used, into a recycle bin.
Am I green or what?

Good for you!
Our new house will be certified "green". We've all got to do our part...no matter how small it may seem. - At 5:14 PM, Avorie said...

Very cool! What all are you doing to make it green?

Man, I never come back and see if blogger respond to my comments...but I happened to see that you responded to this one.
Our house will be certified green. There are a bunch of different requirements to make it that way. Things like reusing the items that were in the previous house we torn down (it needed to be torn down), recycled materials, metal roof and composite siding. You can read more about it at www.builtgreen.net.
